Where does the time go? It’s a month since our last blog and the time has gone like that. So focussed were we on launching RetroFutures and at not forgetting to take something vital to the Restaurant & Bar Design Show in London.

(As it turns out, we did, but that’s another story.)

So this is a quick catch-up on events of the past month.

New to Revivals

We’ve just had in a small advance number of the latest addition to our Revivals range: our versions of vintage nautical lighting designs that are becoming obsolete.

The Revivals Finned Oval Aluminium Nautical Bulkhead (main image) is our cast aluminium version of a steel vintage bulkhead, very popular for its refined appearance. Uniquely to our Revivals bulkheads, this one has the flex from the light bulb holder emerging from the back of the light, so it remains unseen.

We are also very soon (1-2 weeks) to receive yet another new Revivals light: the 10-inch parabolic Benjamin wall light.

The 1950s originals were hard to source as it was, and when we struck lucky they flew out. Ours are beautifully made, and in two very different finishes: a dark green powder-coating emulating the originals, and a rose-gold brass version for complete contrast.

They will come with a choice of short wall fitting or long brass swan-neck wall fitting. Best of all is the price: around a quarter of the price of the originals – and these will look equally amazing.

New to the Website

The eagle-eyed will also notice that we’ve been adding vintage tripod floor lamps to the website recently. Among them:

• This staggeringly beautiful mounted polished Vintage Strand Pattern 264 theatre spotlight
• An unusual steel rectangular vintage nautical cargo light paired with steel tripod
• This equally unusual copper vintage ship’s cargo light with tripod options
• And another Revivals newcomer, this heavy brass fluted cargo light, again paired with the steel tripod
