Here’s the daddy of our vintage double-sided round nautical clocks – the XX-wide or “barrel” version. It comes in two finishes: original blue-green paint or stripped and polished steel. (Note the steel version exhibits noticeable patina – see photos – from its use at sea for many years.)
Dating from the 1980s, these have all seen service, probably on vast cargo ships. Ideal hallway or kitchen clocks, they would equally suit most any room in the house.
These XX-wide nautical clocks measure 17 cm across and protrude 23 cm from wall.
Originally powered on a maritime electrical circuit, incompatible with domestic systems, the defunct mechanisms have been replaced by quartz battery-powered versions.
A maritime classic, and we suspect we’re the only UK suppliers. This is a limited restock – sadly highly likely to be our last.
