We had a limited run of these unusual vintage nautical cargo lights in, earlier in the year, and they sold out in the shop before we’d even had a chance to put them on the website. This time, we’re getting ahead of the game.
There’s no brass on this light, giving it a more clinical, contemporary feel. Plus, of course, it’s not round like most every other ship’s cargo light.
We’ve paired it with our steel tripod, to maintain that chrome-style overload.
Originally this ship light had a halogen capsule inside. For ease of domestic use, we’ve replaced that with a standard E27 light bulb fitting (light bulb not included), and wired with the usual vintage-style flex, switch and plug.
It’s the sort of light you could imagine arranged around an alien autopsy. (We love it.)
Fully extended it’s going to rise to somewhere near six feet.
