Super-Rare Polished Mole-Richardson 406 Solarspot on Vintage Steel Tripod
£2,000.00 (inc VAT)
Only our second Mole-Richardson Solarspot – among the Holy Grail of theatrical lighting – so we are stoked to have sourced. It’s a stunner.
This arrived in its original black paint scheme, which our esteemed polisher has stripped and performed his usual miracles on.
Dating circa 1940s – with serial number 1893, making it a reasonably early version – it is in great condition, with bronze yoke and barn door fittings. As well as the original barn doors – also stripped and polished.
Our first Mole-Richardson was snapped up by a luxury Italian hotel group before it had even hit the website. So here’s your chance to own a serious piece of theatrical history.
The steel tripod is also vintage, also stripped and polished featuring brass tighteners, and could extend far higher than the domestic setting would require.
For more details of the 406 Solarspot check out page 19 of this vintage catalogue.
We have rewired this with a standard E27 light bulb fitting, using vintage-style woven flex and mains plug, via the original switch on the side.
We’ve taken plenty of photos and are happy to answer any questions.
