This steel ship’s searchlight is in such good condition that we kept its original grey paint scheme. Manufactured by the Haixing company of China, its label shows date of manufacture as May 2009. We chose it for its lovely sleek design.
It features a small but heavy iron base, for stability, and can be easily angled up and down using the twist/lock handles.
This nautical searchlight measures 60 cm high, while the searchlight section is 38 cm deep, with a 38 cm diameter lens.
A fabulous feature light in any room, ours has been fully rewired with vintage-style flex (photographs are pre-refurbishment), switch and plug. Takes a standard E27 screw in lightbulb – we’d recommend an LED version for maximum wattage, or if you’re more interested in the appearance than light output, consider a vintage-style filament lightbulb which will throw reflections around the inside of the lens.
